Work towards vital EMS accreditations with these free workshops

GROUNDWORK and CO2Sense are offering FREE workshops in 2012 to help eligible SMEs reduce costs and work towards environmental accreditation:

The FREE workshops run over two days and will be delivered by an experienced CIEH and IEMA approved advisor on the following dates: 

  • 22nd and 29th February 2012 in Leeds
  • 6th and 13th March 2012 in Sheffield

Delegates will receive: 

  1. Advice to help your businesses save costs and carbon
  2. A free basic carbon footprint calculation for your business
  3. A course completion certificate
  4. Telephone support to help you implement environmental improvements in your company
  5. A £100* voucher for further GROUNDWORK services

  • Identify savings opportunities by learning how to carry out a resource efficiency review for your company
  • Reduce costs further by kickstarting your own Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Increase sales by meeting customers’ environmental criteria

 

Key eligibility requirements

Your company must be an SME (less than 250 employees and turnover of less than €50M) and not have received more than €200,000 State Aid in the last three years and must not be 25% or more owned by another company.

Companies must fall under one of the following ERDF eligible sectors: Advanced Engineering and Materials cluster, Creative and Digital New Media, Food and Drink, Chemicals, Environmental Technologies, Healthcare Technologies, Logistics, Construction, Financial and Business Services, Visitor Economy and be able to demonstrate a customer base outside the Yorkshire and Humber region and not primarily provide a service to local people.
